Shore thing experience. Wow! Words could not describe the amazing atmosphere that Emma and Cardo provided on this booking. From the very beginning they were high energy, very knowledgeable and personable. They made sure everyone was having a good experience and doing it safely. I would recommend booking this excursion to each and everyone that is visiting the Bahamas. It’s not just about the spectacular stops along the way but the Captain and crew made all the difference.

This experience was one to truly remember. The morning started with a Pleasant welcome and soft breakfast before we started our tour.The breakfast banana bread was delicious. It was the first thing I kept down since my husband and I found out we were expecting. Prior to booking shore thing excursion, We told them that i was expecting and asked if it would be safe to do this in my condition. They assured me that it would be safe and they would do their best to make sure all safety measures are followed. Upon getting on to the boat we were directed to the back because it would be a much smoother ride for me. Once everyone was seated the tour guide laid out the safety rules and informed us of all the stops we would be making. Our first stop was at a cay that had huge iguanas. They were big and beautiful, at least they were to me. They had a sequence of colors and we fed them grapes on a stick. Also a few birds came over to eat grapes off of the stick. The next stop was at site where a plane had crashed years ago and the fish made a home out of it. It’s nice but not my favorite part only because there were seaweed floating to the top of the water and once you came back up they would get stuck in your hair ( wear a swim cap) and you will be fine. The next stop was a beautiful under water aquarium and man ohh man words can nottt describe how amazing this place was, thousands of little marine life. I want to show everyone back home how incredible this place was so this time I took my cell phone (not knowing if it was water proof or not) At this point I didn’t care I needed people to see it lol. The tour guy fed them bread and the fish just followed him everywhere. After 20 minutes or so it was back on the boat and we were off to our next stop. I must say there was never a dull moment. The boat crew was very informative an made sure we stayed hydrated with there complimentary drinks also they gave snacks. The crew member kovin showed us the cay where Johnny Depp filmed one of his movies. Then we went to lunch, lunch was on the main island of exuma at a restaurant along side the beach. I must say food was pretty good it was like a mini buffet. I got peas an rice, baked chicken an macaroni they offered other things but I was playing it safe seeing that I am pregnant and didn’t want to upset my stomach. After lunch we went to swim with the sharks an boy oh boy I was soo scared. My husband was not getting in the water and nor was I, but yet he was egging me on to go in then my hat blow off into the water with the baby sharks lol ( keep in mind everyone else was in the water have a great time ) we were on the side line like two chickens. I finally build the courage to retrieve my hat so in the water I went an let me tell you scariest moment in my life but it was a great experience. I can finally take swimming with sharks off of my bucket list. Once we were done with the sharks it was time to swim with the pigs and I mean literally. There were very large pigs and also piglet running around coming and going in and out of the water. The entire experience was truly worth the price. We finished the day at a very beautiful beach crystal clear water the water was calm and the beach was exquisite. We plan to definitely do this trip again!!

The full day excursion to Exuma was the highlight of our trip in the Bahamas! We were very fortunate to have Emma as our tour guide. She was full of life and energy - she made many accommodations to make sure our needs were met. Most importantly, she made sure everyone around her felt safe and comfortable.
It a blast being able to experience the iguana island, the pigs, sharks, and even the aquarium. Our group has the best time!

Greatest excursion I have been on. Emma, Tony, and Ricardo made the entire day so much fun!!! The views on the boat ride were spectacular. Every stop was just amazing!! Everyone should do this excursion.

OMG I cant say enough about this excursion. It was absolutely AMAZING!!! The entire experience was very memorable and I want to do it again. The crew, Kell, Emma and the captain i think his name is Patrick, they were all super nice and accommodating and made the experience so much fun. I highly recommend this excursion.

Door-to-door service from hotel to boat.
Although they had us standing outside hotel waiting for the bus to arrive at least an hour they should organize transportation a little better.
Emma and captains we’re keeping us entertained throughout the trip! We really enjoyed lunch with the amazing view of the ocean and grouper fried fish was amazing.

The price is high but I promise it's worth it!

Worth the price!!! I was skeptical spending this much and reading the comments about the long time spent on the boat but we saw SO much and had unlimited snacks and drinks with great music and amazing weather - I can't say enough good things! The coolest parts included snorkleing Pablo Escobars sunken plane and the sharks - if you're scared just do it everyone was safe and happy. We loved the hotel pick up and drop off, however do want to say I wish they had better communication. They told us to wait outside our hotel 10 minute prior to our 7am pickup and the little bus didn't come until closer to 7:25am. I was panicking thinking that we missed it. Then the bus driver was late again picking us up. HOWEVER that had no impact on how much I loved the trip. I also get sea sickness and the boat is big and fast enough that I didn't feel sick at all since there was no rocking motion. The group was a good mix a couples and 3 families with younger kids. The staff was also great about taking photos for us so we got a lot of group shots. Make sure to go to the side or back of the group for the best photos without the other guests!

We loved our experience! The visit with the Pigs was certainly a treat, but we loved the nurse sharks and iguanas just as much if not more! Snorkeling at the Sea Aquarium was an amazing experience and the lunch was great! Kel and Captain Tony were phenomenal as was the assistant they had on the boat. We also really were appreciative of the support team in the office. Thank you!!

Capt. Cardo and Emma gave us an amazing experience. They were attentive, fun and enthusiastic the entire day. The organisation meant not a minute was wasted.
I booked mainly because of the pigs but my favourite part of the day was the sharks.
It was better than I could have imagined. Back at the hotel whenever someone mentioned the trip I told them to contact Shore Thing Escapes as they wouldn't be disappointed.

We had a wonderful tour with these guys!!! I compared what they offered as opposed to the one offer by Atlantis, and Shore Things Escapes had the best value for your buck. We will go with them again, and we will bring the kids!

I loved the plane wreck, the Pigs and feeding the sharks.
It was a good day and worth every dollar.

The entire day was loads of fun for all in our family! We loved feeding the iguanas, swimming with the nurse sharks, feeding the pigs, and snorkeling. The food for lunch was amazing! Emma kept us entertained on the boat ride with her dancing. Keep in mind there's a lot of time spent getting from one place to the next and the boat goes fast, so people with long hair should pull it back. My daughter's long hair became a snarled mess, but it was all worth it. :)

Really fun experience! We were very glad we did it. They pack a lot into this full day. The boat ride is long but Emma made it a lot of fun with great music, drinks, and snacks. We would definitely go again! Also the lunch place is accommodating if you have food allergies like gluten dairy etc.
Don’t forget to bring a towel, long sleeve shirt for sun protection and wind protection (I was happy to have a hoodie), waterproof phone case or GoPro, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen. They provide water bottles on the boat.

Great food, staff, highlights and experience overall. I’d recommend this tour even for a solo traveller.

The staff (Emmo on our boat) were fantastic and energetic, the food was great and overall it was a really fun trip.
The most underrated part was snorkelling around Pablo Escobar’s plane crash. It was actually my favourite event of the day.

It's the greatest boat tour we have ever had. Because there are more than 30 travelers booked the trip on that day, they divided us into 2 groups, which means 2 boats shipped out on that day. Our group's age is from 1 's baby to 70's seniors. We had tour guilds, Emma and Tony, they were very professional and patience. They did dance all the time, full of passion. They cared about the travelers from time to time. Every stop was covered with enough time to take activities or photos.
After we come back, lots of travelers like me prepared tips, but there is no need.
If there is something I need to mention, that is the pick-up driver, All the time he kept silent, and never talked a single word so I wondered if I might get on the wrong bus.
Anyway, this boat trip is fantastic, There is no doubt I give it 5 stars.

YOU GUYS. I know you're looking at this experience thinking "It's SO expensive!" and you're totally right: it's expensive. It's expensive AND IT'S SO WORTH IT! I almost passed on this experience, but then trusted the reviews of others and splurged. The crew was fun, kind, skilled, and knowledgeable. Our day with Shore Thing Escapes was no doubt the highlight of our family vacation. Everyone from my timidly brave 11-year-old to my adventure-seeking teens, to my husband and I to the well-traveled grandpa and grandma LOVED, LOVED this off-resort, off-island experience. Seriously, just go.
A few of tips from me to you, take 'em or leave 'em:
-Bring a jacket. The morning boat ride was brisk. Not cold, per say, but having a jacket to wear was nice.
-If you've got long locks braid, pony, or bun 'em! It's a brilliantly windy boat ride and those hairs will promptly knot themselves up!
-Jump off the dock to your hearts content at your lunch stop! (p.s.: lunch is DELICIOUS!)
-When the crew tells you to "get off the boat", DO IT. Off the side, the back, take the ladder, whatever which way you choose, do it and do it quickly. There are so many adventures packed into a relatively short amount of time, so don't waste it dilly-dally-ing on the boat!
-Purchase the photo package! What a joy it was to be fully immersed in each experience without being tethered to a camera and still having our memories captured.
-And lastly, if you're lucky enough to have her on your Shore Things crew, be free like Emma! Move, groove, and soak up it all up!

Highlight of my Bahama Trip

If I had one complaint is that the commute to Exuma on a speed boat may get kinda old because it’s pretty long (1.5 hr) and really bumpy, took me a while to adjust not to hurt my butt and spine while holding on to the seat, but when you get there - the adventure is totally worth it. The iguana island was super fun, the pigs on Pig Beach could not be more adorable even though they could get aggressive at times.
My favorites, nurse sharks - I wished I spent half a day just with them alone, it’ll redefine your perception of sharks when you see these benevolent almost puppy-like creatures enjoying your company (and they are still wild, it’s not a zoo or aquarium) and I did love snorkeling at the site of the sunken Pablo Escobar plane. The one wish I had is that we had more time to hang out at each stop, I even contemplated to book a plane trip instead but then decided to save some money. Either way, all these experiences are a total must so get there however you can, it’ll make for priceless memories.

Shore Things EXUMA full day trip was amazing

I attempted to reserve 3 spots for 12/20/22 two weeks before traveling to Nassau. I was not able to land 3 spots until 12.22.22. I grabbed the 3 spots. 12/20 was a windy, balmy day. The Gods were with me. 12/22/22 was a fabulous, sunny day. We got on our bus (provided at our townhouse by Shore Things) and headed to the dock. We were told that the "regular boat" used for this excursion had mechanical problems and we were being broken down into 3 independent carriers to EXUMA. All were given the opportunity to cancel. We got on a cigar boat with about 12-15 others. We were packed in like sardines-- seats that should have held 2 was for 3 adults. The ride to EXUMA (2 hours) was bumpy, and noisy .....you could not talk or hear the music playing. The 2 gentlemen offered "rum punch, beer and sky juice" at the beginning of the ride. Juice was put in provided Short Things water bottles because a cup would have blown out of the boat during travel. The boat ride was not for the faint at heart.....I literally felt stiff neck days after this trip.
BUT-- the stops: Snorkeling in a private aquatic water area, snorkeling over a plane wreck (Escobar's), seeing the swimming pigs and their island, swimming with the sharks and the lunch were ABSOLUTELY amazing. The exit off this smaller boat was tricky. ( I did a nose dive in the sand when one of the men driving the boat said get off the front of the boat. The 2 nice men helped me, the senior, off and on after ). The lunch in EXUMA was very good. Would I do this trip again.....MOST Definitely.
Shore Things is not good at communicating.....you need to stay on top of this situation. However, this is a Bahamian thing. This trip is well worth the money spent and I would suggest it to all.

I wish we knew more before we booked the tour. Our boat got overbooked and we were told to share the seat, which was a major issue - considering the half seat arrangement was for whole day including hours of full speed cruising. Other major issue was blasting disco techno or whatever it was music from the speaker right near the seat, in addition to engines right behind and non stop dancing guide... I guess some people enjoy it, but we were not amused. We would prefer to enjoy the nature and being able to talk to each other. Our boat wasn't equipped for dry landing with the front ladder - which means we got wet at each stop while entering the boat. Exumas are beautiful, but cruising 40 miles / hour in wet clothes in low 70s makes you pretty cold, there was no place to hide from wind, and there was no warning to bring extra layers. The guide was in a proper winter jacket though. Breakfast had no fresh pastry at all, MacDonalds type egg burritos were gone by the time we arrived leaving us with pop tarts, which we ignored. The captain was nice and helpful, the lunch was good (especially after having no breakfast), and iguanas, pigs, sharks were all there, but the whole family was like, "What was it?". It wasn't what we expected, so if you book it - adjust your expectation accordingly.
